Communicative language teaching approach in the development of speaking skill

Introduction. Oral communication is perhaps the most important skill while learning a foreign language. The conventional English teaching method that applied at different educational levels based on grammar and writing, does not allow development of necessary skills. communicative language has been subject this research, in which its effectiveness treated using resources Objective. This research aims to apply activities determine speaking skill, second-year Bachelor Education secondary institution Riobamba, Ecuador. Methodology. A field, descriptive, prospective, longitudinal, quasi-experimental quantitative was carried out. universe made up 94 students level. sample equivalent organized into two groups, one experimental control, with 47 each. diagnostic examination final test were for both during time between tests, followed teaching-learning approaches. In control group traditional group, approach teaching. Results. results showed although groups improved their performance speaking, increase ability greater than group. Conclusion. It concluded application effective skill.
